Loren and Pete tied the knot on October 9, 2009! We have worked closely with Loren and Pete over the past year, and were excited to be their photographers during their destination wedding TO Chattanooga TN! Loren has a great eye for design and style and the details of her wedding day prove it. I loved watching Pete's reaction to Loren coming down the aisle towards him--a great moment for sure!

Thank you to Divine Designs by Amanda, The Grandview, Blissful Moments, and so many more that were a part of the celebration. And a huge thank you to Loren and Pete for commissioning us, you both have been wonderful to work with!

Shannon and Wally's Vow Renewal

A new chapter. A grateful nod to their past, and a hopeful embrace of life's next season.

This was the focus of Shannon and Wally's evening vow renewal this past week and we were frankly in awe to be a part of it. Their small garden ceremony took place at dusk on top of Lookout Mountain at The Grandview--the location of their original vows five years ago this past May. Shannon found the dress that she was in love with from the very beginning and they joined with their minister and closest friends to recommit their vows. After their ceremony, the group made their way to Easy Bistro for drinks and dinner (side note: I am in LOVE with the food and swank of this restaurant! A must see for sure!)

Thank you both for such a romantic and heartfelt evening, I'm not sure that your pictures do justice to how beautiful your love truly is!

Beau and I MAY be scheming about following their footsteps in the next year or so... **Small confession--At nearly every wedding I wonder what dress I would choose/what shoes I would wear if I did it over again. I'm still in love with my vintage-inspired customized Maggie Sottero but we'll have to see... ;)

Rebecca and Brad's Lovely Beach Wedding!

Rebecca and Brad are married! I am in love with the gorgeous beach wedding that we shot down in FL this past weekend. It was EXTRA special for me, as I've known Rebecca since our high school days back at Clay High (feels like a lifetime ago!). We sadly lost touch over the years as we both chased our dreams around the country, so when she called to tell me that she was planning her wedding and wanted us to be their photographers I was ecstatic! What an honor! My favorite part of the entire day was watching Brad admire Rebecca as she strolled down the beach towards him--they are perfect together! Thanks again Becca, and CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy your time in Napa Valley (lucky girl....!) ;)

Baby Brett has arrived!

Wow! We have had quite the whirlwind trips these past few weeks! We are thankfullyhome safe and sound and now have a new member added to the family! Last Sunday my sister Melissa and her husband Jimmy welcomed little Brett to the world and we were luckily around to celebrate with them. :) On our way back from a much anticipated break in St. Pete, Beau and I swung into Ocala, FL and hung out with the soon-to-be grandparents while they waited at the hospital. Brett arrived a healthy 7 lbs 6 oz, 21 inches long and with 10 long fingers for throwing a football (as his daddy proudly pointed out!) I was so happy that I had my camera (along with our 50 1.2--LOVE it!) to document the day. Enjoy as we passed around the little guy!

Kadi and Andy are Married!

Theirs is a comfortable kind of love; full of playfulness, laughter and admiration for one another. Kadi and Andy are the kind of couple that you simply cherish being around--the life of the party and a genuine love for those in their lives. Married at Second Presbyterian Church downtown, they then partied like it was 1999, directly following, at The Mill. I knew we were in for a treat when I asked about her inspirations for the day and she said it was the peacock that drove the design and colors. Kadi was full of jitters right before heading down the aisle to meet Andy, so she decided to put her energy to good use with a few wall pushups! lol!

Brynn and Josh's LoveShoot!

Our friends Josh and Brynn are getting married in January and I can't even begin to describe how excited we are to be a part of it all! When they called to book us we knew that it would be a ton of fun! Below is their Loveshoot from last weekend. They were engaged at the Chickamauga Battlefield so we started there and ended in downtown Chatt. Thank you both for a fabulous evening, can't wait to hang out more!

So as I was walking backwards shooting I apparently just about broke my leg (or worse!) in a hidden hole in the ground. Luckily Brynn saw it right as I was nearing it--THANKS BRYNN!!!! This is her telling me I'm about to kill myself...not so sure why Josh is smiling about it though! Hmm, he's suspect...

They've taken dance classes over the year and we are looking forward to watching them show off at the reception!

Julie and Joe Tied the Knot!

Joe and Julie tied the knot last Saturday! When I first met Julie several months ago I could tell that we were in for a treat--her excitement and admiration for Joe just radiated from her! As their officiant illustrated during their ceremony, these two are a powerful combination, able to light up a room with just their laughter and antics. Their wedding party was incredible too--the energy that they had throughout the ENTIRE day made it so much fun for us to shoot. Thank you both for inviting us to take part of your wedding day, I haven't laughed that hard in a while! I'm definitely looking forward to your Day After session in the Bluff View Art District when you return from your honeymoon!

It was so sweet how emotional Julie and her father were during their first meet. Being able to capture the true emotion of wedding days is our favorite part of being photographers!

Josh and Amy are Married!

Josh and Amy are incredible! Their love is so full of beauty, depth and meaning and Beau and I were so honored to spend the day capturing it. They were married at the gorgeously historic Broadstreet Methodist church in downtown Cleveland. Having met in Philosophy Club at Lee University, their ceremony was understandably rich with meaning and tradition. We've shot many many weddings over the years and yet every wedding leaves us with a deeper understanding and appreciation of what it means to be married and in love. Its just another reason that we love what we do! Thank you both again for letting us be a part, we can't wait to hear all about your honeymoon in Europe!

Congratulations to Megan and Chad! I had the honor of capturing their big day recently at the new Renaissance Center in Ringgold, GA. These two are the sweetest and most genuine couple around! Becca and Bubba, what can we say? From day one when we met her at Katherine's wedding Becca had joked that we would be shooting her wedding day. So when they got engaged we were so thrilled to take her call! One of the first things she said was "I've got boots for you and Beau, because everyone WILL be wearing cowboy boots!" LOL! Well after much planning, their big day arrived and sure enough, boots and fresh daisies abounded at Turtle Creek Farms. Beau and Juliane opted to stick with their tried and true shoes (photographers know how hard weddings can be on feet! Anyone wanna testify?), but Becca's white boots were definitely a hit! Thank you again for calling us Becca and Bubba, we have loved working with you and your family and look forward to many more opportunities in the future!

How fun is it when we get to work with our previous couples! Katherine and Nick (Katherine is Rebecca's big sis) were a part of it all and as always we were thrilled to see them (and we are so excited to say that they have moved back to the area!)

The adorable Allison and Tim were also a part of the day--Allison is actually Rebecca's cousin, and Tim is Bubba's brother! Confusing I know but it was awesome to see them again. Can you believe its already been a year and 3 months since your wedding day?!

As we've gotten to know Caroline and Dennis we've been blown away by their kindness and love. After shooting their destination engagement session in Nashville we realized what a special couple they truly were. These past few months before the wedding Beau and I have run into them several times around town, and every time we were greeted with huge hugs and smiling faces. So when their wedding day rolled around we were excited to be commissioned for it. Check out their slideshow below, I had so many favorites it took me a few days to narrow it down! The day was a delicious mix of rain showers, sunshine and a gorgeous sunset. And Caroline's attention to detail made the day all that much sweeter.

They did it! Deborah and Dagan threw a stunning wedding celebration last Saturday and we were thrilled to be commissioned for it. Deborah's Sara Gabriel birdcage veil just sealed it for me--we loved the attention to detail that this interior designer threw into her wedding. It makes all the difference! The energy and love that these two put off was just awesome, their reception was truly a celebration! Congratulations to Nicole and Jamison! They tied the knot this past Sunday at Patten Chapel and we had such a fabulous time celebrating at with them at The Mill in downtown Chattanooga. We have really enjoyed working with these two over the past 4 months. Its so much fun when couples are really into their photography! We have been so blessed that the couples who hire us are looking for that extra edge. Not only does it make our job more exciting, but it gives them timeless photographs as well.

All that to say, we woke up the next morning and finished their celebration with a Day After session. We love these sessions because it gives couples a chance to capture unique photos in a completely different location. They were both so relaxed and in love, it was a perfect ending to their vows! Thanks again guys, can't wait to see pictures from your honeymoon in Jamaica!

There are so many small things throughout my day that make me grin with thankfulness. I don't know if its all the changes that we're about to undergo or the warm weather that's sporadically settled in the TN valley....regardless,

I can't help but smile when...

I pour my first cup of freshly ground coffee in the morning and settle into my big cozy office chair to check emails
I know that I am about to travel again--I LOVE ADVENTURES!
I glance at my pup Nala as she jogs next to me on my run, and she has a huge doggy-grin on her face
I am able to work with the most incredible people in the wedding and photography industry
I find a hot new pair of shoes.
I make my fave coffee drink--a yummy coconut cappuccino---why, oh why, won't Sbux carry coconut regularly?
When I come home to find Beau washing the dishes. And regardless of whether he's doing it the fastest way or not, I'm just grateful for his help (sorry babe for nagging!) :)
I crawl into bed after a very long day and know that I gave my best
I get a new album order delivered to my door!
I look at our new house-to-be
I get 20 minutes to peruse the latest Domino magazine
HGTV. Nuf said.
I have a wedding coming up--I am STILL in love with weddings, even after all this time! I'm such a girl.

Well those are just a few honorable mentions for now. Have a fabulous day and try to notice the small things!

Laura and Chad are Tying the Knot!

Laura and Chad are getting married in March and we are so honored to be a part of it all! This past weekend we met up for their loveshoot and I can't emphasize enough what a perfect pair these two make. We spent the evening with them, roaming the streets while creating the unique imagery below. Thank you again for commisioning us and we are looking forward to your big day coming up!

When I got the call from Kendal that they were expecting another baby I was so thrilled! So for his first online debut, meet baby Conner! Big brother Harris is so funny to watch as he plays alongside Conner--he is a proud older brother indeed. Kudos to Kendal for all her energy and love--its not easy with two babies!

During the shoot we were laughing because Harris knew me and my camera (he took part in our Baby's First Year program as well) and was such a ham! Thanks Kendal for letting us be a part of it all, we love watching your family grow. :)

Such an energetic boy! Harris would throw his stuffed blocks as hard as possible and they would fly about 2 feet. lol!

Caroline and Dennis' Loveshoot!

This past weekend Beau and I were able to join Caroline and Dennis in Nashville for their destination loveshoot. The Gaylord Opryland Resort is a fabulous location, especially for wintertime weddings and e-sessions. The day was cold and rainy so the indoor atrium and river were perfect--you gotta love climate control.

Caroline and Dennis visited the Opryland hotel when they first started dating and Caroline fondly recalls how she fell in love with Dennis during that time. It was such a great idea to do their pictures there. They were so cute--we barely needed to direct them as they just cuddled and laughed the entire afternoon. I am looking forward to their May wedding and can't wait to start designing their engagement book soon!

Caden's Baby Shoot

We had a wonderful time the week after Christmas, playing around with Caden and catching the best toothy grins I've seen yet as he basked in being the center of attention. Kyle bought Caden's first pair of Carhartt overalls and we just HAD to put him in them. Such a cute country boy!

New Year, New Things!

Our Moffatt Update...

So last night I finally slowed down a bit and took a look back over this past year. We've been immensely blessed by you, our friends and family, and cannot even begin to express our thankfulness and love for you all! The travels, from Las Vegas to Charleston to Florida and everywhere in between, were thrilling. Being part of my own sister's wedding, launching a fresher and more exciting online experience for our business, and beginning a hard-core house hunt last October were just a few of the milestones. Oh yeah, and celebrating our 3rd anniversary of course! :)

Our business is heading into its fourth year and we are looking forward to our busiest season yet this 2009. (psst...we just had 2 Saturdays come open in May--they won't last so hurry! Shameless plug, sorry...) We will soon be relocating to a bigger and better office/home to handle the traffic and our products more efficiently. I can't wait! :)

This past June was a turning point for us as Beau began training for his first marathon. Always enjoying exercise but never able to do more than 5 miles due to many knee surgeries, I admit that I wasn't thrilled about joining him until last month. So here I am, declaring that I will attempt to do a half marathon in April--ACK! Kudos to my good friend Nicole for the kick in the pants--I will hopefully be able to make it across the line. Any others interested give me a shout, maybe we can do some group runs!

I'm incredibly proud of Beau as he has joined Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during his marathon. We have had several of our clients recently battle cancer and Leukemia, (including my uncle) and we want nothing more than to raise awareness and support for this wonderful organization. We are firm believers that it is imperative to nurture all areas of your life. I'm not too big on new years resolutions as I tend to enjoy whatever it is that I resolve to stop and it never works for me. :) Call me weak. Therefore this new year Beau and I have simply "resolved" to be more committed to maintaining a greater sense of balance in our work, our relationships, our physical well-being and our spiritual and emotional health. I understand that life happens, but if one area of your self is constantly neglected then balance is impossible to maintain. Be encouraged to reevaluate your own life as well, as it can only lead to good! Life is entirely too short to worry about the small stuff and I want to be the first to encourage you to relax and look for the joy and beauty in all things this year. :)

As I mentioned, 2009 is looking to be a fabulous year. We wish nothing but blessings and happiness for you and your families. Please let us know what big plans you have, we'd love to hear from you! Catherine's Family Portraits

I know I've been way behind on the blog lately! Over Thanksgiving we met up with Catherine's family in Jacksonville, FL for a family portrait session. Catherine and her husband Josh recently found out that they are expecting their first little one and were excited to have some pictures done before the baby arrives.

Their parent's home was very beautiful, and being only a few blocks from the beach made me want to stay forever! We originally had a beach shoot scheduled the weekend following Thanksgiving, but of course the rain clouds had another idea in mind. Never fear though, their home was simply gorgeous (and had great natural light!). It was hard to narrow down just a few shots. Thank you again for the opportunity to work with you all! I look forward to our next shoot when the little one arrives! ;)

Last week we met up with Karen and Cecil for their family photo shoot. It was so awesome to tour Winchester and the surrounding areas, as they showed Beau and I their land and heritage. Karen is a special friend (known to us as Dr. Karen), because she regularly treats Beau and I as our Chiropractor. We recommend that everyone receive regular treatment--especially if you spend alot of time behind a desk or carry big fatty cameras! :)

These have been a long time coming! Jessie and Adam were one of the sweetest couples we've met and they tied the knot on October 11th. Jessie's dress had great detail and she looked incredible. Adam was just so in love with Jessie and I couldn't help but think that every girl would want to be treated the way he treats her! They were perfect together--seeing this is what makes my job so wonderful!

Swiss Am provided the catering, while Rhon completed the fabulous florals. Kendra from Ever After directed the day and their reception was held at the luxurious T.L. Lowry Global Center. Enjoy just a few highlights!

Jessie's father was so amazing. He obviously adores her and it was so special watching him give her away.

Rachel and Kyle are Getting Married!

Rachel and Kyle are getting married next spring and we were so happy to meet up with them for their Loveshoot! At the beginning of their early morning shoot Kyle was telling us about how he proposed to Rachel, high on the roof of a downtown building. Such a sweet idea--just check out the view in the slideshow below! Kyle also had two scooters (one was out of commission however) so we didn't waste any time having them zoom around downtown tandem style! LOL! Rachel was a little nervous but was such a trooper!

Funny Side Story: While capturing them in the water and thinking what great sports they were being, yours truly ended up getting shot with water directly in the back of the head from one of the statues...After the intitial shock and "Oh crap--my camera!", I decided it felt REALLY good! I love my 5D--that's the 3rd time it's been at the mercy of water and its still going strong!

Grace truly lives up to her name--she was one of the sweetest and most "gracious" brides I'd met. She just couldn't stop smiling and you could tell she was so ecstatic to be marrying her best friend, Dustin! When I was four years old, my family moved from Ooltewah to Signal Mountain. I anticipated that I would have to go to a new school and make new friends. However, I was not expecting to find my best friend so quickly. A few days after we moved in, the neighbors came to greet us. I was pleased to find out that there were two other children on our street named John and David. Even though John was three years older than me we immediately became friends.
We were always outside building forts and being adventuresome on the mountain. We also frequently played "house" on a large boulder on our street. John and I were the "parents" of my little sister. Since his mother was a stay at home mom he insisted that that is how our "family" was going to be. So he made me stay home on the rock to sweep and take care of my little sister while he rode his bicycle down the street on his commute to "work". We played like this for years.
Once I realized that I really liked John, I began to become very shy around him. So every time I wanted to play, I would convince my sister (who is three years younger than me) to call his house to ask if he wanted to "play". Occasionally this took a little bit more than convincing, and she required some compensation, such as my allowance, to call him. After all of the endless days and nights of playing together as young children, I knew we had something very special between the two of us. John says that it took him longer to accept that he liked me more than a friend. He was concerned about what his friends would think of him liking a girl three years younger than him. It took until I turned 16 for him to finally accept the fact that we should take our friendship to the next level. It was then that we became boyfriend and girlfriend and that is how it has been to this day.
When I talk to other couples, everyone always says that they have had to work through the ups and downs with their partner, but I have to say that we have always been "up". I attribute this to the fact that we have built our relationship on an incredible friendship that we have had for practically our entire lives. We are always doing something exciting whether it is traveling or picking up new hobbies together. We especially love the outdoors. I believe this comes from the beginning of our friendship when we were enjoying nature together as young children.

Our relationship has blossomed over the past 5 ½ years and we recently became engaged. John took me back to where our friendship first started to ask me to marry him. It was on top of that boulder where we used to play house that I agreed to start our real family 18 years later. My mom has always told me to marry my best friend and I am lucky to be able to say that I will. We are so excited to start a new chapter of our lives together in May.

Today is such a wonderful day...it's our ANNIVERSARY! Three years ago I was thrilled to marry the sweetest man alive and begin this wonderful adventure that we call life. He puts up with so many of my crazy ideas and dreams (ie. see below), and we both love to explore what this life has for us. It has been such a fun ride and I am so thankful for my loving and supportive hubby--I just pray that every girl is able to marry their best friend, too!

The old English song, "Daisy Bell", also called, "A Bicycle Built for Two", was a favorite when I was a little girl. So naturally I wanted to leave the church on a vintage Schwinn bicycle built for two!

The lovely Michelle made sure my train didn't catch...

Beau was a LOT more skeptical than I was and wasn't so sure we'd get moving...

But we prevailed and took off towards the road---corset strings flying and all! This is my favorite picture and it hangs proudly on our wall!

On June 28th Erica and Andrew tied the knot at UTC's Danforth Chapel. It was by far one of the sweetest and most intimate ceremonies I've seen. Their personalities matched one another so well and I really enjoyed watching as they solemnly pronounced their vows! Cara and Devin

Saturday Cara and Devin tied the knot in style... vintage style that is! This wedding was a dream! EVERY detail was thought through, from the handmade wedding gown, the handsewn programs and the birdcage veil, to the vintage taxicab!

Both cakes were made by Devin's mother, Janey, who has supplied cakes in Nashville for stars such as Faith Hill and Shania Twain!! Take one look (and one bite!) and you'll soon know that she really is just THAT good!

This day was a powerhouse when it came to vendors too!

Jessica Stone from Headquarter's Salon in Cleveland was Cara's hair and makeup artist. I highly recommend her work, as she has done several of our brides and we are always in awe at how natural and gorgeous her styling is.

Rhon supplied the beautiful flowers and decor for the day and his style was right on the money as usual! Cara's dress designer from New York, Courtney, provided the exquisite custom gown. We love her work so be sure to check her out--I see her as an up-and-coming designer so watch out! Also, Kathryn and Amanda from Creative Hospitality provided the delicious spread at the reception at Black Fox Farms in Cleveland. Their presentation and service were wonderful so call us for more info on them.

Thanks to all for making the day so much fun! Enjoy a few shots from the day...I'm sure you'll notice just what an incredibly fun and loving couple these two were!

Kristina and Carroll's Wedding Day

Beau and I were so happy to spend Saturday with Carroll and Kristina as they celebrated their wedding day! Both of them are such beautiful souls, full of energy and good humor! There was certainly never a dull moment with them, their wedding party or their families! I haven't laughed that much in a long time. :)

Their ceremony took place at the historic Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in downtown Chattanooga. The church was built in the 1890's and the architecture was absolutely stunning! Their reception took place a few blocks from there at the elegant Walden Club, overlooking downtown. We truly enjoyed celebrating with you both and thank you guys once more allowing us to work with you.

They had such a cute ring bearer! I loved his toothless grin!

I was really excited about Dalen's second photo shoot this past Monday. I hadn't seen him in several months and couldn't get over how much he'd grown up! He was full of flirtatious grins the entire session and I loved watching him "discover" grass (and mulch!). Thanks again to Megan and Mario for letting me be a part of his first year--you guys are such sweet and loving parents!

Cara's Bridal Fashion Shoot

Last week I met up with Cara to capture some shots of her beautiful custom made wedding dress. She and Devon will be tying the knot in 2 weeks and I cannot wait to be a part of it all! Cara has such an incredibly sweet and beautiful demeanor. Cara and her mom were such COMPLETE troopers as we explored hay fields and cow pastures for the best locations. Thank you so much to Emily and David for welcoming us to their family farm and driving us around the fields (while dodging a few cows and a litter of baby skunks! Whew!)

Jack and Elijah

We have been so blessed to be a part of several couple's lives as they experience the adventures of parenthood. Last week I met up with Matt and Michelle to once more capture the growth of their twin boys, Jack and Elijah. I can't believe how much they've grown in such a short time! Their cheeks are SO CUTE and they both have such a difference in personality (Jack has always been less than excited about having pictures taken...while Elijah is so happy for the attention! ). The Summer Celebration of Anna and Tyler

So its super late and I'm ready for some shut eye but I couldn't help putting up a few shots from this past weekend. We had such a great time shooting on Saturday with Anna and Tyler. Their big day took place at the Fillhauer House in Cleveland, TN. We also really enjoyed working with Anna's coordinator Christina Cannon--don't hesitate to contact us for more info on how you can hook up with this girl--she thought of EVERYTHING and the day ran so smoothly!

The highlight of Anna's ensemble was her heirloom cathedral veil which Anna's mother wore during her wedding! I couldn't get over how gorgeous and well preserved it was. My other fave part of the day was their actual story. Apparently Anna and Tyler became an item back in the 8th grade and have stayed together all these years--true childhood sweethearts!!!! They even had love notes from back then framed and displayed throughout the reception. Such a cool idea! The Collins Brother Band absolutely ROCKED it and the speeches given by Anna and Tyler's bridal party were just plain hilarious (and extremely well written)!

Well enjoy some of their MANY shots from the day. The details were unending and I had to finally quit before I spoiled all of the highlights from the day! :) Thanks again you guys, and enjoy some serious R&R down in Florida. To all my late night blogstalkers...Good night!

Wow! These last few weeks have been a spectacular blur! Thanks for all of your patience as we've been traveling and shooting full throttle. I absolutely LOVE being on the road, but unfortunately it can slow down my blogging capabilities a bit.

Please note that last week we had a small hiccup with our server (particularly on Friday) so if you tried to contact us Thursday/Friday and have not heard back yet PLEASE resend your inquiry! Ack! Also, let us know if you have been waiting on a reply and have not received it as our outgoing mail was also affected.

We are happily back on track though, and are looking forward to meeting all of the new clients that have contacted us recently--I'm so excited to see what the rest of '08-'09 has in store! Don't hesitate to call for your own consultation, we have a couple more dates open this fall.

Okay, now on to some ROCKIN' new weddings!

Amanda and Will's Swanky Summer Affair

Whew! I'm on a roll today!
So, on Sunday afternoon Amanda and Will said their vows in an intimate and amazingly beautiful ceremony at the home of Will's parents on Signal Mountain. Amanda and Will have waited so long for this day and to be a part of it was such an honor! Amanda was a star when it came to planning out the details and to see it all pulled together made for an amazing presentation. The white tent in their huge backyard was full of white summer flowers, candles, and light blue napkins. She even thought to lay out quilts in the yard with hoola hoops and streamers for the kids!

But my favorite part of the entire event was the fact that Amanda specifically wanted pictures AFTER the reception in downtown Chattanooga, in the dark! Talk about getting my creative juices flowing! We had such a great time roaming the streets (literally!) getting all varieties of shots late into the night. Check them out below!

Amanda and Will--I've enjoyed working with you guys and I look forward to hearing more about your trip to Costa Rica in June! We'll have to get together before you all head out with the Air Force! :)

Amanda LOVES pie and so they opted for a delicious pie table over the traditional cake. All of the food, service and desserts were provided by the Big Table Restaurant. Their Coconut Cream pie was my fave!

Of course the pups were a part of the celebration--they're practically Amanda and Will's babies!

This black and white is my FAVORITE shot of the entire night! Well, actually its in my top 3...I just can't narrow it down! I know I don't usually explain my shots/settings so for all those photogs wondering...yes this is straight out of the camera with just black and white applied to it. A little extra diffused side lighting and a street light were all we used and it gave the desired effect. Isn't actual photography so satisfying?

Meredith and Gene Tied the Knot!

This past weekend we were in Gatlinburg for the much anticipated wedding of Meredith and Gene! I knew we were in for a treat the moment I met with Meredith. She has so much personality and is so animated that I knew for sure there would never be a dull moment (which also makes for some great shots!).

Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet Gene until the day of, so when we finally were introduced I couldn't get over what a great match he was for Meredith. They were so into each other and provided such great energy! Their ceremony was held outside at the Park Vista Resort above Gatlinburg, with a beautiful reception in one of the hotel's main ballrooms. Just check out the view of the Smoky's--that was what we woke up to on Saturday morning! Meredith always talked about Gene's band and their love for great music, so it was very moving when their first dance was done acoustically by their close friend Derrick.

Thank you again Meredith and Gene for allowing Beau and I to be a part of your amazing day--I loved every minute of it! You and your family were wonderful to work with!
